Dave Risendal plays banjo and guitar, sings harmony, and occasionally takes a turn at lead vocals when the rest of the band isn't paying attention. He is the newest member of the group, having bumped into the rest of the guys in a back room at the Midwinter Bluegrass Festival
(Denver, CO) in 1999. Dave has held down jobs as varied as cross-country truck driver, paddle-wheel boat deckhand, and gardener at Many Glacier Hotel (Glacier Park, MT), and he currently is serving as Pastor of Saint Peter Lutheran Church in Greenwood Village, Colorado. He makes his home in Centennial, CO with wife Betsy and two sons, Brady and Landon.
